What are Pay What You Want tickets?
For some shows we offer tickets on a Pay What You Want basis. You can choose to pay anything from a selection of set prices. If the amount you wish to pay is not available please call the Box Office to make your booking.
Do you do free tickets for essential companions?
If you need a Personal Assistant, to be able to visit the theatre, the PA can receive a complimentary ticket. Please contact the Box Office to discuss this.
Free Personal Assistant tickets are for people who provide a service without which the customer would not be able to attend a show, event or workshop at Chickenshed. These tickets are not intended to be used by customers who simply want someone to attend with them, or who just need assistance with transportation to the theatre. Free Personal Assistant tickets are given where the customer would otherwise incur a financial disadvantage without that support
Please note a parent accompanying a disabled child under the age of 14 does not qualify for a free Personal Assistant ticket, as all children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
Do you offer Access tickets?
We offer a reduced rate to wheelchair users and people coming to our Accessible Performances usually equivalent to the lowest price ticket available for that performance.
Please see our Access Information page for more details.
Can a child attend without an adult?
Under 15s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over
All children over the age of 12 months must have their own ticket. For children's shows there may be different rules so please see the details on the individual page for that show.
For safety reasons, children under the age of 7 are not permitted to sit in the Gallery under any circumstances
What is the seating in the Gallery like?
Our gallery is one row of seats, upstairs on either side of the auditorium in the Rayne Theatre. As the seats are not facing forwards and you are looking from a side angle onto the stage, your view is slightly restricted and you may not see the very sides of the stage.
For safety reasons, children under the age of 7 are not permitted to sit in the Gallery under any circumstances.
