What is The Lost Records?
In 2023, The Space Between Us Programme collaborated with more than 500 people of all ages, engaging with participants at Chickenshed and throughout London to explore what music means to us.
At 'The Lost Records Festival,' participants shared their stories through sound, film, and theatre, bringing to life the diverse musical tapestry uncovered in the 2023 project.
The Stage Award
We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for Community Project of the Year in The Stage Awards.
When announcing the shortlist, The Stage said:
"Chickenshed has been operating The Space Between Us programme since 2017. Its 2023 iteration was The Lost Records Project, a triumphant example of the Chickenshed way of doing things, bringing together those aged from eight to 85 to create an intergenerational community show over six months, as well as activities in care homes, dementia groups and community groups."
