Chickenshed's Young Company begin another year by participating in the National Theatre Connections Festival. The Programme brings together some of the UK's most exciting new writers and theatre-makers of tomorrow, with over 250 youth theatre companies participating.
Around 30 young people within our Young Company have been exploring a selected script combining acting, physical theatre and musical elements. They have been pushing boundaries in how the text can be explored, adapting the script for performance and playing various roles.
Playwright of No Regrets, Gary McNair, spoke to people at all stages and in all walks of life, on the subject of regret over the course of five years. This play marks the results of those conversations. A collection of verbatim inspired stories, from the silly to the profound.
McNair takes us on a journey that charts our relationship with the things we should have done, but didn't, and the things we shouldn't have done, but did.
