About
Part of our Sunday Shed programme, the Children’s Performance Project is a weekly creative session where young performers explore drama, dance, and music in a fun, inclusive environment.
Each term builds towards a short performance for family and friends in the Rayne Theatre - a chance for children to share their creativity and shine on stage.
Led by Chickenshed’s experienced team, it’s a supportive space where everyone is welcome, whether they’ve been on stage before or are trying something new.
Who’s it for?
This project is perfect for any child aged 7–11, whether they’re bursting with performance energy or just curious to give it a go. No experience needed - just enthusiasm and a willingness to join in.
You can turn up and take part each week, but places are limited, so we recommend booking in advance.
Term dates
Children’s and Young People’s sessions at Chickenshed run on Sundays from 27 April to 13 July, with sessions taking place on: 27 April, 4 May, 11 May, 18 May, 1 June, 15 June, 22 June, 29 June, 6 July and the final session on 13 July.
Please note there will be no sessions on 25 May (Half Term) and 8 June (Wonder Walk).
