What is the Wonder Walk

Following our first Wonder Walk in June 2024 to celebrate our 50th anniversary year, we are so excited to bring back this fantastic community event and invite you to take part!

We're planning for an even bigger and better Wonder Walk on Sun 8 Jun 2025 where hundreds of people will meet and take part in walking our accessible 5K, or 10K routes around the surrounding areas of Chickenshed.

By taking part in this challenging yet fun day, you will be helping to support our vital work supporting young people, and helping us to reach our goal of raising a minimum of £50,000 through individual and team fundraising.

Times will be confirmed in due course however the walk will set off in the morning.

Watch this space for exciting updates about the event over the coming weeks and months!

Why join us?

Following the success of the first ever Wonder Walk in 2024 in our 50th year, we would love for you to join us in 2025 and help us fundraise for Chickenshed, so our doors stay open and we can continue to support children and young people for another 50 years, and beyond.

We've spent 5 decades breaking the mould and today we support over 15,000 children and young people each year.

Over 60% have experienced isolation and exclusion due to mental or physical ill-health, disability, bullying, gang pressure, interactions with the care system or being a young carer themselves. For many, Chickenshed is their safety net and second home.

The £50,000 we hope to raise through the Wonder Walk will directly fund our important work with children and young people.
